What channel is Outlander on in the UK? Catch up before season 7 part 2 premieres (2024)

Outlander will return for the second half of its seventh season this November, and its loyal fan following, central romance and dramatic storylines have kept it front and centre of many people's watchlists.

Based on the bestselling book series from Diana Gabaldon, Outlander debuted in 2014 and stars Caitríona Balfe as Claire Randall, a former military nurse who finds herself transported back in time from the mid-1940s to the early 1740s.

There, she encounters Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), and the pair fall in love – but they face numerous challenges and, sadly, deep trauma along the way.

It's been a long wait for the second half of Outlander's seventh instalment – part one of season seven aired in summer 2023.

With that in mind, you might be looking to refresh your memory ahead of the series' return – particularly as it now has a new streaming home in the UK.

So, here's how you can get up to speed with Outlander's story so far.

Following the closure of Lionsgate+ in the UK, Outlander has a new streaming home – the Prime Video channel MGM+. This streaming service is also home to the Power spin-offs, The Great, BMF, P-Valley and many, many more TV shows.

As things currently stand, you must be an Amazon Prime member before you can sign up for MGM+.

Prime membership has a price of £8.99 per month, or £95 per year. It includes perks such as premium delivery, unlimited music streaming and photo storage, and a big library of great original TV series and movies content (including live sports such as selected Premier League and UEFA Champions League football matches).

If you haven't ever had Amazon Prime before, or haven't been a member in the last 12 months, you can take up a 30-day free trial.

You will need to provide payment details, but you can cancel your subscription if you don't want to continue (but if you don't do so before the end of the trial period, you will be charged).

Once you're signed up to Prime, MGM+ membership costs £4.49 per month, although offers do run from time to time.

New customers may also be eligible for a 7-day free trial of the service (and as MGM+ is a newly-launched service, the likelihood of you being defined as a new customer is quite high).

If you prefer, you can also download and keep episodes from Outlander seasons 1-7 via Amazon, or iTunes. Seasons 1-6 are also available to download and keep via Microsoft Store.

Watch Outlander in the US with STARZ

In the US, Outlander still airs on Starz, and customers in the States and Puerto Rico can subscribe direct. As well as the shows listed above, Starz is also home to acclaimed dramas such as in the US.

It's usually priced at $9.99 per month, but as of June 17, there's a limited-time offer for "new and previous STARZ App subscribers who re-subscribe via starz.com".

While the promotion is running, customers can get three months' access for a promotional price of $2.99 per month (a saving of 70% per month during the promotional period).

If you'd prefer to make a longer-term commitment, customers can also save 66% on the Starz Semi-Annual Plan.

Usually priced at $45.99 for a six-month term, it's been reduced to $19.99 for the 6-month term during the offer period.
